Houston fitness guru wins national award

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston exercise guru has been named the top fitness instructor in the country by ABC's 'LIVE! with Kelly and Michael.

The announcement was made Monday morning. Tammy Harris, who developed the workout concept 'Soul Grooves' five years ago, was nominated by her students.

Harris showcased her moves in front of a national audience last month before voters got to decide.

With the win, Harris takes home $10,000.

A message was posted on the 'LIVE!' Facebook page with the following message.
