Breast cancer patient treated to bedside surprise by giant hot dog

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- As she fights for her life, a Houston woman received a special surprise at her hospital bed -- a favorite treat, served by an eight-foot-tall hot dog.

Mary Jane Bell, said to claim her age as "79 and still holding," has battled repeated rounds with breast cancer, and has recently moved into a Houston hospice. Her grandson, Mark Bell, explained her condition to James Coney Island, and told officials there what a long-time customer Mrs. Bell is of the franchise. Servers at her favorite location even know her regular order -- two with chili, mustard, and onions.

On Thursday, James Coney Island's Coney Man delivered a special order lunch at Mrs. Bell's bedside, delighting her and her family.
