Angleton girl, 12, sneezes nearly 12,000 times a day

ANGLETON, TX (KTRK) -- Doctors at Texas Children's Hospital here in Houston are trying to figure out why a 12-year-old girl sneezes constantly.

Doctors think it could be a condition known as a 'tic.'

Three weeks ago, 12-year-old Katelyn Thornley began sneezing and it has not stopped. She says her sneezing sometimes goes on for a minute at a time.

It has become so bad that it hurts her abdomen due to the constant muscle contractions while sneezing.

"This has taken a huge toll on my life," said Thornley. "I want nothing more than for this to end. I just want it to be gone for good."

Katelyn says she sneezes 12,000 times a day.
