8-year-old gets shot in Little League
It was a dream come true for on 8-year-old boy from Fort Worth.

FORT WORTH, Texas (KTRK) -- It was a dream come true for an 8-year-old boy from Fort Worth. He finally got to play Little League baseball.

Daniel Jones was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which means that half of his heart is functioning.

He's undergone seven surgeries and carries a backpack holding an IV pump that continuously delivers a heart failure drug to him as he waits for a transplant.

Daniel loves baseball, but it's hard for him to play.

His mother went online asking if anyone had an extra jersey for him.

One Little League coach offered Daniel a spot on the team and a chance to play in a game.
