Food at Super Bowl 51 isn't your average stadium grub
A 100 yard sub, BBQ turkey sandwiches, short rib grilled cheeses and waffle nachos are all on the menu.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This year's Super Bowl at NRG will give fans a taste of some of Houston's unique flavors. On Tuesday, the NFL and Aramark, the exclusive food and beverage partner of NRG Stadium, announced the menu for the big game. Selections include creations from local chefs including Ronnie Killen's BBQ Burnt Ends Sandwich and the Brisket Sandwich, available in regular concessions. In the Clubs and Suites, Chris Shepherd's signature 44 Farms Jalapeno Cheese Dog will be available.

Aramark chefs have also created NFC and AFC tribute menu items. The Beantown Griller is a Tri Tip pot roast with caramelized onions, served with baked beans, in honor of the New England Patriots. The ATL Fried Chicken Stack includes crisp waffle fries, buttermilk fried chicken, and a peach marmalade bbq sauce - a nod to the Atlanta Falcons.

Students from Houston ISD are also getting in on the action. Student chefs from Westside High School worked alongside Aramark Chef Mark Cornish to create the "Bayou City Bahn Mi 51" - a Vietnamese Bahn Mi style sandwich filled with international flavors including fajita steak, pickled vegetables, and an avocado spread.

Several unique Houston creations will be available at the NFL Experience at the George R. Brown convention Center, including the "Overtime Waffle Nachos" topped with smoked brisket or pulled pork, beer cheese sauce, guacamole, and Korean bbq sauce.
