HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Love fine food and drink? The CultureMap Tastemaker Awards are an annual celebration of talent in Houston's restaurant and bar community.

You can try food from the best restaurants in Houston for less than $50 on Tuesday, April 18 at the Asia Society Texas Center.

Participants include Brennan's of Houston, Broken Barrel, Cafe Azur, Cane Rosso and more.

This year, the categories are Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year, Rising Star Chef of the Year, Neighborhood Restaurant of the Year, Bar of the Year, Bartender of the Year, Wine Program of the Year (replacing Sommelier of the Year), Pastry Chef of the Year, and Favorite Taco and Best New Restaurant.

The ceremony will be emceed by Houston's Bryan Caswell, the chef who owns Reef, El Real Tex Mex, Little Bigs, 3rd Bar Oyster and Eating House, Jackson Street BBQ and Bryan Caswell Catering.
