Sushi donuts are coming to Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Move over cronuts, there's a new donut in town: the sushi donut?

Another viral raw fish trend is hitting Houston and this one is a sushi roll shaped like a donut.

Jason Liao, an owner at Pokeology, recently opened its first Houston location in Rice Village, will serve the popular sushi stunt dish at its forthcoming second location.

Liao said he was thinking of new dishes to add to the location in the Heights, and after his photo of the sushi donut went viral, he knew he had a winner.

The second Pokeology is currently slated to open its doors in the Heights at 2313 Edwards this summer.
