GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Fifty miles south of Houston sits a vintage style restaurant that has folks traveling near and far to sample all the goodness of the Farley Girls Café on Galveston Island.

The restaurant is a product of two sisters who have a passion for hard work, the people they serve and good food.

Their love for food started when they were kids, because both their parents were in the restaurant business. Roz found herself manning the kitchen, while Ryanne decided the front-of-house was her calling.

The Farley Girls Café menu is as unique as the two sisters. For lunch, you have your choice of salads, incredible sandwiches, great seafood and much more.

The Farley girls' brunch, served every Saturday and Sunday, has become an Island favorite. While the waffles are one of kind, so is the Hangover Helper Bowl. But it's the O.M.G. dish that has folks coming back for more. The dish includes chicken fried steak on a pancake, topped with sausage gravy and a fried egg. It's the perfect meal to start your day.
