McCain breakfast fritters recalled for plastic contamination
The Early Risers fritters may contain plastic, investigators say

McCain Foods USA is recalling its Early Risers Potato, Egg, Cheese and Bacon Fritters after federal safety inspectors say they may be contaminated with some sort of plastic.

A consumer complaint led to the recall, but fortunately no one has been injured.

The recalled product bears an establishment number "EST. 18846" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

If you have a case in the freezer, you are instructed to throw them out or return them to the store for a refund.

These items were shipped to grocery stores in Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, and Utah.

If you have any questions about the recall, you may call Dana Hastings at 630-857-4329.
