Sweet Paris sends Houstonians on a flavor trip to Paris

HOUSTON, Texas -- If you are looking for an alternative to the pancake, Sweet Paris is looking to revive the art of eating crepes. In May of 2012 Sweet Crepes opened its doors in Rice Village and since has opened up a second location in City Centre. By the end of 2018 they hope to have a location in Katy, The Woodlands and College Station.

Owner Allison Chavez says their goal is to "try to transport their guest out of the hustle and bustle of Houston and into a magical world of crepes."

If you've never had a crepe, it's a thin pancake filled with pretty much anything you can think of.

Chavez says unlike the crepes in Paris, Sweet Paris offers Texas-sized crepes. With everything sweet to savory crepes filled with potatoes, sausage and eggs, they offer a little something for everyone.

During the holidays they are also offering up a Grinch-inspired crepe. It is a green Christmas tree crepe, filled with creme brulee custard, strawberries and more. It's a must-have, says Chavez.
