HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This summer has been HOT, HOT, HOT! So cool off with a cocktail at one of the best hot spots around town, as voted on by ABC-13 viewers!

Julep

Of course Julep on Washington has several versions of a mint julep, but they also have an extensive cocktail list and a spirits list a mile long. Their happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. daily, and they offer half price off their Southern Classics cocktails.

Anvil Bar and Refuge

Anvil's menu has over 100 cocktails - no joke! The 100 List started as a training list for its bartenders, but customers requested to see it, and now it is on the printed menu. They've even sorted it into categories like "tropical and tiki" and "herbal and spirituous" to help you find exactly what you're looking for.

Down the Street

Chances are, if you live in the Cottage Grove community you've been "down the street" to the neighborhood bar. Down the Street has happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. and grab $5 bites while you sip on several drink specials. They've also got a popular Saturday and Sunday brunch if you like your cocktails early!

Sanctuari Bar at Triniti

Triniti on Shepherd is named for the culinary trio of sweet, savory and spirit, and the bar menu at Sanctuari follows the same motto. Their cocktail menu has unique twists on all the classics. Stop by for happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Republic House

Pasadena residents rave about Republic House. Viewers say it has a great patio and great people! The craft cocktail menu features some unique creations, such as "Blood, Sweat, and Beards" and the "Jalapeno Cucumber Margarita." Their beer list is even longer, if you're headed out with a group who might have different tastes!

El Patio

El Patio says that if you don't remember the first time you walked into their club No Minors, then they've done their job. If that sounds like your kind of place, then head to Westheimer for the Houston hot spot that has been serving up locals for decades!

The Pub

If you like your cocktails with a little live music, head to The Pub in Stafford. There's a live band everyday and specials to go along with it!

Union Kitchen

There are three Union Kitchen locations you can stop by to have a drink - Bellaire, Memorial, and Kingwood. Viewers suggest stopping by during their happy hour. If you're a regular, make sure to register for the Union Loyalty Card online. The owner Paul Miller has also opened up a spot in Upper Kirby called Paul's Kitchen that's worth checking out too!

Cedar Creek Cafe Bar and Grill

Cedar Creek is known for its great patio, plenty of TVs, and delicious food and drinks! Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., and if you can't make that, they have a special everyday of the week!

Voodoo Queen

Voodoo Queen is described as a New Orleans style tiki bar with dozens craft cocktails and frozen drinks. Picture fruity drinks with umbrellas that are Houston made and NOLA strength!
