Woman meets 16-year-old daughter for the first time

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A League City woman just met her daughter for the first time. Years ago, JoLana Talbot donated her eggs to help other couples start a family.

"You don't know anything you have no clue what the outcome is once you've donated you've signed off all rights," said Talbot.

In Nashville, 16-year-old Brittan Gilmore knew her parents used an egg donor to conceive her and she wanted to know her biological mother as well. Gilmore searched online for years and finally got lucky.

Talbot registered with the fertility clinic in case someone needed her medical information.

The two families met on Katie Couric's talk show after a former TV producer neighbor suggested it. You can watch the reunion on Katie's website.
