Kingwood man to honor daughter's memory 14,000 feet above the earth

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Chad Barrett, a pastor at Kingwood Bible Church, will honor his young daughter's memory during a daring skydive fundraiser sponsored by Children's Cancer Recovery Foundation at Skydive Spaceland Houston on Sept. 27.

Kristina, the Barrett family's eldest daughter, was 12 years old when she died as a result of a rare form of cancer.

Called Clear Cell Sarcoma, it accounts for less than one percent of all soft tissue tumors and is most often seen in middle-aged adults, according to a study in the European Journal of Cancer Care.
