The ex-boyfriend of a pregnant woman who disappeared in 2013 has been arrested

PUEBLO, Colorado -- Police have charged the ex-boyfriend of a 21-year-old pregnant woman from Colorado who disappeared in 2013 with first-degree murder.

Donthe Lucas, 25, was already in custody on robbery charges.

Officials say that in February 2013, Kelsie Schelling, who was 8 weeks pregnant when she went missing, sent Lucas a picture of an ultrasound of their baby. He allegedly asked her to drive from Denver to Pueblo to meet him. Schelling's mother, Laura Saxton, says that's when her daughter disappeared. She is believed dead.

A new search for Schelling began in November. Investigators have used excavators to dig in areas where she was last seen.

Schelling's family is offering a $50,000 reward for any information that can lead to her remains.
