YouTube personality Todrick Hall partnered with Broadway actress Shoshanna Bean to create this video in which characters from four Disney classics jam out to their most iconic songs with an R&B makeover.

Hall told ABC that he chose the Disney movies -- "The Little Mermaid," "The Lion King," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin" -- based on the influence they'd had on him as a child.

"Those four movies inspired me to do theater, to audition for Broadway," he said.

Hall, a Los Angeles-based entertainer, has created several other Disney-themed viral hits, like "Spell Block Tango," which reimagines the musical "Chicago" starring Disney villains.

The inspiration for the video came from a desire to revisit his youth, said the 29-year-old.

"I started thinking about that nostalgic feeling you get when you hear those songs," he said, speaking of both the Disney songs and the R&B hits. "I thought they would be such a perfect combination."

Compared to his other videos, Hall said, this one was put together quickly -- it took five days from concept to posting -- and with a relatively low budget.

"Normally there's lots of smoke and mirrors," he said of the production behind his other videos. "This was just me and my friend having a good time."

Disney fans and '90s kids alike could not contain their excitement about the mash-up on social media.

The video has been viewed more than half a million times.
