Pretty Woman was a modern take on the Cinderella story -- a businessman falls in love with the prostitute with a heart of gold after hiring her to escort him to events -- and it has become a modern classic. March 23 marks 25 years since the film Pretty Woman first hit theaters in 1990.

Check out how the cast has changed since 1990.

Julia Roberts

Roberts was an up and coming star when Pretty Woman was released. Since then, she's become a true A-list celebrity. Although she was nominated for an Oscar for playing Vivian Ward in "Pretty Woman," it would be her 2000 role as Erin Brokovich that would earn her an Oscar for Best Actress.

Richard Gere

Gere played a cutthroat businessman Edward Lewis who had changed his ways after meeting Ward. He went on to win a Golden Globe for his role as the smooth talking lawyer Billy Flynn in the 2002 film "Chicago."

Jason Alexander

Alexander, best known as the ever-awkward George Castanza on Seinfeld, played Lewis' heartless lawyer Phillip Stuckey. He has continued his career on the screen and in numerous starring roles on the stage, including The Producers and the 2004 musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Laura San Giacomo

San Giacomo played Ward's sarcastic roommate Kit De Luca who started to turn her life on the streets around with help from Roberts' character. She went on to star in the TV sitcom Just Shoot Me.

Hector Elizondo

Elizondo played the kind-hearted hotel manager Barney Thompson, who took Ward under his wing and helped with her Eliza Doolittle-esque transformation. Elizondo currently plays Tim Allen's boss on the ABC show "Last Man Standing."
