Taylor Swift donates to Houston Food Bank
The Houston Food Bank announced Swift made a "very sizable donation" in honor of her mother, a University of Houston alumni.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Hurricane Harvey may be gone, but Houston isn't out of the woods yet. Celebrities from around the world have been making donations to ensure that everyone in Houston is safe and sound.

The Houston Food Bank announced Friday that Taylor Swift has made, "a very sizable donation." The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer has a strong connection to Houston. Her mother graduated from Memorial High School and the University of Houston.

In a statement the Houston Food Bank said, "Taylor Swift has generously made a very sizable donation to Houston Food Bank in honor of her mother who graduated from the University of Houston. We thank you, Taylor, and we thank everyone for donating to help rebuild our community."
