Iron Man may not be getting another movie, but that doesn't mean he's not going to keep popping up on the big screen.

CNN reports Robert Downey Jr. will suit up as Iron Man in at least three more moves.

He's already scheduled to appear this summer in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," and will also reprise the role in "The Avengers 3." And now, Variety reports Downey is in final negotiations to also appear as Iron Man in "Captain America 3."

The Captain America role is interesting, as early reports say the plot will pit the two superheroes against each other. Early teasers hint that the storyline will be about a fictional superhero registration act which requires those will special powers to reveal themselves and force them to help the U.S. government.

Iron Man likes the idea, but Captain America sees it as a threat to civil liberties.

CNN says Downey would earn another $40 million from the role plus a share of the box office profits.
