Houston Symphony to perform 'ET' score

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Houston Symphony is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the film 'ET' in grand fashion, staging a live performance of the score.

The performance, which takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, will be accompanied by a screening of the film at Jones Hall.

Tickets can be purchased online for as little as $35.

'ET' was originally only booked in 500 theaters nationwide, but a successful test screening in Houston received high marks from viewers and prompted Universal Pictures to up the number of bookings to 1,600 theaters.
