The Lighting of the Doves in the woodlands is Saturday from 3- 9 p.m. at Town Green Park. There will be live performances, ice carvers, Santa and fireworks!
Admission to the event is free, but there are some paid activities.
Anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram will get a free whole pizza, no purchase necessary
30th Annual Wortham Tree Lighting
Wednesday, November 23, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, Houston Public Media, and Houston First unite to kick off the holiday season in the theater district with a holiday tree lighting and a chance to take pictures with Santa.
It's the third Saturday of the month and that means the members of Houston area live steamers offer free rides to the public out in Hockley. It's also the last event for the free event. All ages are welcome to ride the steamers from 9:00 a.m. To 2:00 p.m. It's also the annual toys for tots drive .
Frostival: A winter celebration

The Frostival a fun-filled night celebrating the opening of the ice at discovery green. Enjoy live music, dance, skating performance and DJ spinning some music!
The Touchdown Tour is back this time at Kingwood High School tomorrow! This is the super bowl host committee's traveling celebration of football. There are games, exhibits, appearances, food and fun for people of all ages to get you ready for the super bowl!! The tour will run from 10 a.m.-2 P.m.
Friday flicks on the lawn at Green Street is a great place to enjoy a date night friendly movies. Elf will be showing on the big screen starting at 8 p.m.
City Centre is ready to glisten for the holidays with 100 percent chance of snow! On Saturday, November 19 from 12 - 9 pm, you're invited to share in the fun of the district's annual snowflake lighting in the plaza! Pictures with Santa, sledding, caroling and ice sculpting show.
