Dancing pros get engaged live on 'Dancing with the Stars'
Farber took Slater's hands and said to her, in front of the live audience, "Babe, I wanted to do this for such a long, long time," and then proceeded to get down on one knee.

Dancing with the Stars pro dancers Sasha Farber and Emma Slater got engaged on the show's live broadcast Tuesday night.

The moment happened right after Farber, 33, and Slater, 27, performed an introductory dance that typically kicks off the show, ending with a kiss. Though Slater was caught off guard when co-host Tom Bergeron escorted the couple to the center of the stage.

"Sasha, I always thought you had the potential to actually host, so I'm gonna give the show over to you," Bergeron said to Farber as he walked off stage and left the pair alone.

Slater, and the live audience, gasped in surprise as Farber took Slater's hands and said to her, "Babe, I wanted to do this for such a long, long time."

The audience went wild the moment Sasha down on one knee and said, "I love you so much. Will you marry me?"

Slater immediately said yes and kissed her new fiance. The show's cast and contestants swarmed the stage hugging and congratulating the couple, and fellow dancer Derek Hough couldn't stop jumping up and down. The background screen graphics displayed in bold letters: "She said YES!"

"Sasha just proposed to Emma and thankfully she said yes because we didn't have graphics for the other option," quipped Bergeron.

Other cast members, including the judges, shared their congratulations on Twitter.

Farber and Slater have reportedly been dating on and off since 2011.
