The force is strong with these posters.

New posters featuring Rey, Leia, Han Solo and other characters from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens were released on Wednesday. The posters give an up-close portrait of characters from the film, with Han Solo wielding his trusty blaster, and Finn and Kylo Ren standing behind the glistening beams of their lightsabers.

Cast members enthusiastically shared the posters on their social media pages.

The character posters are just the latest treats that have unveiled from the highly anticipated film. In October, an exclusive new look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered during ESPN's Monday Night Football.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens premieres in theaters on Dec. 18.
