Girl wanted Beyonce, got Obama
When a young D.C. student heard a special guest was coming, this wasn't quite what she had in mind.

When a young girl is told that her class is getting a special visitor, of course she's disappointed when that visitor is not Beyonce.

And of course she told this guest of her disappointment. And the guest--President Obama--said he completely understood.

While stuffing hundreds of backpacks with toys for homeless children as a class project with visitors Barack and Michelle Obama, a young girl said of her class visitor: "I really wanted it to be Beyonce."

"I understand," the President told her immediately, saying his daughters would have felt the same way.

Watch her hilarious comments above.

After the video cuts off, Mrs. Obama agrees: "Oh, you thought we were gonna be Beyonce?" she asked. "That is a disappointment."

The girl makes amends, telling the president, "But then I realized it was going to be you, and that's even better."

Obama comes back with a joke: "I appreciate you saying that in front of the press. I know it's not really true."

The Obamas, grinning, stood by their conviction that a visit from Beyonce would indeed have been better.
