HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There are few things more nerve-racking than performing in front of a crowd of 70,000 screaming football fans. But what about a classroom of middle schoolers?

"I've always known that I wanted to be a teacher," Houston Texans Cheerleader, Amelia, laughed. "So much so that I still have my seventh and eighth grade spirals."

Amelia is a U.S. History teacher at Ulrich Intermediate School in Klein.

Some of her students are starstruck.

"I got really nervous to find out who she was," said student Alexis Velchoff, "and when I saw her I got really excited."

Other students are less shy.

"I did have one student ask me to the eigth grade dance," Amelia said. "It was very sweet. But I told him that I was going to the eigth grade dance with my fellow teachers to chaperone."

Hey, you can't blame him for trying!
