Rockettes teach special class for Houston dancers
The world famous dancers visited Houston's High School for the Visual and Performing Arts

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Tuesday brought a special treat for one high school dance class from the Radio City Rockettes.

Rockettes taught students at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts here in Houston as a part of their master class program. Two groups learned choreography from two routines.

It was a dream come true for one young lady, who realizes she doesn't quite measure up for the group.

Student Kathryn King describes her experience, "So wonderful. I wanted to be a Rockette when I was really little and I'm only five foot one and a half. So we realized that wasn't going to happen. So when they told us they were coming I was so excited."

Two recent graduates from HSPVA became Rockettes as well.

The Rockettes will also be performing at the Hobby Center this December.
