The cold weather is already causing problems in Baytown.

The city announced it's canceling its Christmas parade originally planned for Thursday night due to the threat of icy-cold rain lingering into the evening.

ABC13 meteorologists have been watching the situation closely and say there's even a chance it could snow in southeast Texas.

Baytown says events set for later in the week, like ice skating and Christmas movies at Town Square on Friday, are still on, weather permitting.

Klein ISD has also cancelled a community event honoring unsung heroes that was scheduled for tonight.
