HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- On Tuesday, 19 speakers made public comments before Houston's city council members. They discussed support and opposition to confederate monuments in the city.
Council members said a majority of speakers supported keeping the monuments. It followed last week's public comments, where a majority of speakers spoke about their support of the monuments removal.

The mayor has formed a committee that will examine the statutes and monuments.
