Houston makes global list for millionaires

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston made a pretty impressive global list. We are in the top 20 cities in the world with the highest percentage of millionaires.

This info comes from money website Spears. Houston comes in at number 18, with millionaires making up 2.09 percent of the population. That's a higher percentage than San Francisco and Paris and it makes Houston the second ranked city in the U.S.

The top ranked U.S. city on the list is New York, coming in number four overall.

In New York, a little more than 4.6 percent of people are millionaires. Number three is Geneva, Switzerland with nearly 18 percent of people having a million dollars or more. Number two is Zurich, also in Switzerland with 27.3 percent of people being millionaires.

Number one on the list Monaco. It's a city-state located in the south of France where more than 29.2 percent of people are millionaires.
