CHICAGO, IL -- With the push of a button, entrepreneurs took a major step toward making 3D printable cars a reality this weekend in Chicago.
They rolled out the "Strati", and its inventors say it is the world's first 3-D printed electric vehicle.
The car didn't come off an assembly line. Instead, it was literally "printed" out of carbon fiber and plastic, using a giant 3-D printer.
Glass windows, headlights, the motor, battery, and a few other parts, were added later.
