The Guardian Angel is a necklace, or bracelet, with an inconspicuous button that will make your cellphone ring. It's not the newest trick in the book, but it certainly makes it easier to deal with unwanted circumstances in a more polite and discreet manner.
The $120 accessory has a second function meant for a more extreme scenario. If the button is pressed for three seconds it will send out an SOS message to the phone number programmed as your emergency contact, along with a link to your location.
An idea developed by JWT Singapore, a marketing communications brand, in conversation with the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), an advocacy group for women based in Singapore, the safety device is one more step in dealing with the all too pervasive issue of sexual harassment in the United States and around the world.
