Indiana State Police dealt with major traffic issues because of a family geese walking along the shoulder of I80/94 near Calumet Avenue Monday evening.

Cement barriers on either side of the road way prevented the geese family from moving safely off.

Troopers say drivers were stopping on the shoulder of the roadway to take pictures and gapers are slowing traffic as well.

"There are two adults and five babies," said Indiana State Trooper Jason Madison. "The babies were kind of wandering back and forth. They were getting close to the line a lot of times, so our concern was we didn't want them to cross that line and a motorist not see them and injure them, so we just stayed right next to them."

Indiana Police guided the geese along to an area where they safely took them off the road.
