A Pasadena woman was transported to the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation during a house fire.

The fire broke out at a home on Mockingbird near Queens.

The family was home at the time of the fire. Fire officials say someone tried to smother the fire with a blanket before calling the fire department.

At least one female was transported to Bayshore Hospital with smoke inhalation. The woman was previously on oxygen and the smoke inhalation apparently made her health issues worse.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
