Baytown police say they've arrested a man in connection with the death of his girlfriend's daughter in 2013.

On January 9, 2013, Baytown police officers were called to the Avalon Bay Apartments located at 925 Northwood. Baytown emergency medical services were on scene trying to resuscitate five-month-old Kamisja Jackson. The baby was eventually transported to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

During the investigation the child's mother told detectives that her live-in boyfriend, Keydrin Arceneaux, 30, was the last person with her baby. Detectives spotted signs of foul play as the baby had bruising on the left side of her temple.

In March 2014 detectives received the full autopsy report, which revealed the baby had died from blunt force trauma and the death was ruled as a homicide.

On April 11, 2014 a second interview was conducted with Arceneaux. Police say Arceneaux admitted to shaking the baby. He was charged with murder. On Friday, Arceneuax was arrested in Atascocita and is currently in the Harris County Jail with no bond.
