Getting your groceries while picking up a wardrobe has been around for years at major discount stores like Walmart and Target. But now your neighborhood supermarkets are trying it out too.

The concept is great for people on the go. You can pick up produce and undergarments during the one-stop shopping. That's the idea behind the new Kroger Marketplace that just opened up in the Tomball area.

Inside the massive store is 5,000 square feet of space devoted to clothing, shoes, accessories, and jewelry. Kroger has four other Marketplaces in the Houston area, but the new Tomball location has is the only one with apparel. Shoppers can expect to see name-brand clothing in the store, much like big department stores.

"You are going to find all brand names that you recognize, Hanes, Sketchers Russell athletics things for the whole family from shoes to accessories to undergarments, jeans, pants, everything," Kroger's consumer affairs manager Joy Partain said.

You'll find Levi's jeans for $21.99 and Sketchers Alley Cat shoes for $44.99. That's on par with other stores and online retailers that offer bargain shopping.

Going forward, Kroger will be opening another new Marketplace store in Cypress in the fall that will also include clothes.
