Driver in vehicle matching robbery call leads police on chase in north Houston

HOUSTON

Around 3:30am, police were called to a possible robbery on Lindale.

A victim told investigators they'd been robbed by several men who then took off in more than one vehicle. Patrol officers spotted a getaway truck matching the description and the chase started.

The truck traveled south on Irvington past the North Loop. The chase went through several neighborhoods. The suspect even traveled the wrong way down Hardy Street. Several miles later, the driver stopped at a dead end on Frisco and gave up to police.

That driver will likely face felony evading charges. More charges could follow. Police are still looking for the other men involved.
