Armed robbers terrorize McDonald's customers, employees in northwest Houston

HOUSTON

It happened at the restaurant Northwest Freeway and Mangum. Investigators say it was about 10pm when three gunmen wearing hoodies ambushed the McDonald's, terrorizing several customers and workers.

The unidentified suspects robbed four customers of their cash and cell phones. Several workers ran for cover.

Police tell us one manager suffered minor injuries after being pistol-whipped. Investigators say the robbers beat that woman because she didn't give up the money quick enough before they ran off.

"The other employees fled and hid in the freezer. There is video. We're waiting on the overall manager to come in and get the video for us," said Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department.

Right now, those gunmen are still on the run. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Houston police or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
