Two rare oarfish were recently spotted off the coast of Mexico.

The 15-feet fish were seen in shallow waters in the Sea of Cortes during a tour cruise. The rare creatures can grow to more than 50 feet.

Oarfish are the world's largest bony fish. They typically live at extreme depths, which makes sightings rare.

Last year, an oarfish washed up on Catalina Island and then another in Oceanside.
