The University of Houston is one of seven American universities selected to help train Chinese social workers. The field was eliminated in the 1960s and 1970s by Chairman Mao Zedong during the Cultural Revolution. Guests are Dr. Ira Colby, Dean of the University of Houston College of Social Work and Dr. Patrick Leung, a University of Houston Social Work Professor and Director of the Office for International Social Work Education.
