It happened around 2am at a home near the intersection of State Highway 242 and Lexington.
Deputies from precinct 4 were at the home on a blue warrant, which is issued for parole violations. The homeowner let them in and said the man they were looking for was in a back bedroom.
When they went in that direction, investigators say the suspect produced a gun, at which time deputies opened fire, killing the suspect.
We're told both deputies fired their weapons at the suspect. The deceased suspect's name has not been released.
