Today is the 2nd Annual Houston Barbecue Festival. From 1 to 5pm, ticket-holders will sample barbecue from all over the Houston area, but you must purchase a ticket in advance on houbbq.com.
General admission is $50, and tickets are free for kids 6 and under.
If barbecue isn't your thing, today is the last day to enjoy the Pearland Crawfish Festival! From 11am to 6pm, you can fill up on mud bugs, as well as other food, rides and music.
And since it is the last day of the festival, organizers say you will be able to buy any leftover crawfish at a discounted price.
