Amber Alert canceled after 10-month-old found safe in Brooklyn

Missouri City police issued the Amber Alert for Nadia Sawney, who was last seen Friday with her biological mother, Melonie Nicole Harris, 31. Police say Harris lost custody of her child in New York and reportedly fled the jurisdiction before CPS was able to take custody.

An Amber Alert that that had been in effect for a 10-month-old girl has been canceled. The child was found safe in New York.

Missouri City police issued the Amber Alert for Nadia Sawney on Saturday night after the child, who had last been seen Friday with her biological mother, Melonie Nicole Harris, 31, was missing.

Police say Harris lost custody of her child in New York and reportedly fled the jurisdiction before CPS was able to take custody.

We learned Sunday afternoon that Nadia was found safe in Brooklyn, New York. At this point, we don't have details about where the child was during the disappearance or if any arrests were made.
