One person is dead after a shooting in southwest Houston Saturday afternoon. The victim collapsed in the driveway of a home on South Gessner near Braeswood.

Police say it all started at an apartment complex on the other side of South Gessner at around 2:40pm. We're told the victim got into an argument with someone there.

Police say the gunman shot the victim through the apartment gates. That victim ran across the busy South Gessner road and finally fell near a gate to another apartment complex.

Police say this shooting may be gang-related.

Right now, police have four people detained and they're not sure if one of them is the shooter.

We spoke with one eyewitness who came to the victim's aide.

"I was just at the gas station and I heard gunshots," said witness Wilson Traley. "And I saw this guy laying up against the gate, so I pulled over and tried to call an ambulance for him."

Part of the apartment complex was blocked off during the investigation, as was South Gessner.

Police say the victim may be a teenager.

A fifth person was detained for walking into the taped-off area.
