The entire robbery lasted about a minute, but video shows it was a well planned and violent attack.
It was a just a normal day at the Food Fair on West Little York until a silver Dodge Avenger pulled up and unloaded.
"They're all wearing masks and hoodies. They storm into the grocery store and they scatter," Officer Jessica Bruzas said.
It's as though they all followed a plan. Two head to the check cashing center, another to a register. They even fan out and cover the store, forcing customers to the ground and threatening them with guns. The employees were under the most pressure; eventually two hover in fear.
"They knew what they were doing, and they were in and out in about 45 seconds," Bruzas said.
Five men are in and out that quickly and get away with thousands in cash. It was mid afternoon, about the time Annette Cavazos was shopping when we saw her on Thursday.
"I watch out for that but not during the daytime," she said.
Houston police hope someone recognizes these suspects or the stolen car they were in, or even know someone who came into a lot of cash after the robbery March 4. They all had guns and pulled them within inches of victims' heads.
Officer Bruzas hopes to identify them soon.
"They're dangerous. I mean the next time they do this, they could easily kill somebody," Bruzas said.
No one was hurt but police are looking to see whether the suspects are involved in other armed robberies in the area.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at (713) 222-TIPS (8477).
