Astros take on New York Yankees in season opener

HOUSTON

While many are eager to see Derek Jeter and Ichiro Suzuki, the spotlight will also be on some former Astros legends.

Nolan Ryan will throw out the first pitch during the pre-game ceremony. Craig Biggio will be his catcher. For those who don't remember, Biggio started out his career as catcher and actually caught Ryan's 100th career win in 1988.

Remember, while you need a ticket to go to the game, you don't need one to take part in today's opening day festivities. The Opening Day Street Festival will feature live music by the Scooter Brown Band, pep rallies, an interactive vendor expo, prizes and activities for all the kids.

The fun begins today at noon, just show up to the Crawford side of Minute Maid Park.
