Reward offered in Ft. Bend County construction theft case

FT. BEND COUNTY

On March 12, a little before 8am, deputies were called to the 11100 block of Saronno Drive in the Richmond area about thefts at a construction site. During their investigation, they learned a van reportedly filled with construction materials was stuck in the mud.

The driver of the van flagged down a wrecker, which pulled him from the ditch just minutes before deputies arrived.

A worker took images of the van being pulled from the ditch and followed it. Eventually, the van was found abandoned on South Fry Road with the stolen materials still in it.

The driver of the van is described as a young, heavy-set Hispanic male with multiple tattoos.

Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspects involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
