A Sheldon ISD coach is on leave after what the district would only call an "incident" at a weekend tournament.

It happened during the 27th annual Beachcomber Varsity Tennis Tournament at Ball High School in Galveston. The tournament started on Friday, and that's when the Sheldon ISD spokesperson says the incident occurred.

Both the student and the coach are from Sheldon ISD's C.E. King High School. The district is investigating what happened and the spokeswoman wouldn't elaborate about the nature of the "incident."

We know the parents of the student did file a complaint with the district against this tennis coach, who is also a teacher there. That coach is now on administrative leave while the district investigates.
