Man accused of trying to run down pedestrian

A man is in custody, accused of using a vehicle to try to run down another man earlier this month.

Theodore Clay, 30, was arrested at a home in Friendswood yesterday. He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, Clay tried to run a man down twice on March 1 in an unincorporated area of Dickinson.

The first happened when the victim was walking northbound on Avenue B. The second happened as the victim was walking westbound on 25th.

Inside the home at which Clay was arrested, a juvenile who had been reported as a runaway on February 21 was also found. She was taken into custody by Friendswood police.

Bond for Clay is set at $250,000.
