The decision means 37 "Blood" gang members and 17 "Crip" members can be arrested if they are seen in an area known as the East Aldine Safety Zone. The area runs east of Highway 59 and south of Bush Airport.
County Attorney Vince Ryan was granted a similar injunction in southwest Houston and says it has made for a drastic reduction in gang activity.
