Boy, 2, found with heroin at New Jersey day care center

PATERSON, NJ

Paterson resident Phillip Young, 27, is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Bail was set at $85,000.

Police say 48 glassine envelopes of heroin were found Monday in the boy's jacket, but there were no signs that the child knew the narcotics were there.

The police were notified by the day care center and an investigation led to the arrest of Young.

Police say Young had accompanied the child to the day care center, Michael's Energy Factory, in the morning.
