An out-of-state visitor received a Texas-sized surprise after she bought a winning $520,000 lottery ticket at a Houston convenience store.

Heidi Jo Love bought the winning Weekly Half Grand ticket at a Chevron gas station in the 5600 block of Westheimer Road. As a result, she will receive a weekly $500 check for the next 20 years, before taxes.

"I was in town for my niece's fourth birthday," Love said in a prepared statement. "My dad and I like to play scratch-offs when we are out of town, and it was our first visit to Texas."

Love already knows what she wants to do with the money.

"I'm going to save some, invest some and give back to some people a bit," she said.

The Weekly Half Grand is part of a suite of games based on the popular Weekly Grand scratch-off. Love won the last of four top prizes in this game.
